Description
Attend one or both days of this information-packed workshop for updates on the rollout of the RAC program and its associated coding opportunities and challenges. The RAC program is permanent, and a clear understanding of the complete process is essential for an organization’s long-term success. Day one of the workshop will focus on all issues related to RAC, including the identification of commonly targeted errors, financial impact by error type, and the complete appeals process. Day two focuses on the RAC with an emphasis on coding impact. This includes identifying those specific coding errors targeted by RAC and the importance of auditing the RAC findings. Tools related to data-mining will assist organizations in preparing for RAC and providing continued quality improvement opportunities to coders. Other coding topics will be covered, such as ICD-10-CM/PCS and clinical coding topics relevant to coding professionals. http://www.ahima.org/events/codingquality/index.html
