Frequently Asked Questions:
What is eLearning?
The term eLearning refers to any educational course or webinar that is accessible to a large number of people in an online or electronic environment.
How does eLearning work?
With up to 90 days to complete a course, students are able to study at their own pace and review the course as many times as necessary in order to achieve success. In addition, the interactive environment allows users to stop, start, rewind and review at any time.
What are the benefits to eLearning?
Online courses provide increased access to continuing education for people that don’t have the time and/or resources to travel. A busy schedule is no longer an inhibitor to continuing education since students can work full time and still take advantage of the convenience and flexibility of online training.
Can eLearning be used by anyone?
Yes. Online education is a valuable and effective way for people from all walks of life to obtain the practical knowledge necessary to advance their careers. All that’s needed is access to a computer.
Does eLearning provide continuing education units (CEUs)?
Yes. Many of our courses allow users to earn CEUs from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) upon passing the required exit exam with a score of 75% or higher. Please see the course description for available CEU information.
What does "self-study" mean?
Our self-study courses offer you complete control of the content. Stop, start, pause, and move forwards or backwards at your discretion. Fun interactive activities are included throughout the course to help reinforce the material. In addition, a glossary of terms and a list of topic resources is included to help you during and after the course.
