How eLearning Works

eLearning in general is any educational course or webinar that is accessible in an online or electronic environment. Contexo University has designed a suite of eLearning courses with you and your schedule in mind. Our courses offer career advancement to coders and billers in a compact, easy-to-use online environment. All you need is a computer and you’ll be on your way to earning the CEUs necessary for professional growth and development.

Our courses are approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by both the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Susan Thurston, MA, CHCA, CPC, CPC-I CPC-H, CPC-P, CCS-P, MCS-P, CHCO, CMM
Executive Director of Education for the Association of Health Care Auditors and Educators and the CEO of Coder’s Connection Inc. a health care consulting firm in Colorado.  She is the former Director of Education for the American Academy of Professional Coders and has been a PMCC instructor for 13 years. Today Susan focuses her 40 years of experience toward education and helping physicians with auditing and compliance through The Association of Health Care Auditors and Educators.
Annette Grady, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P, CCS-P, OS
Annette has over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry and draws on a wealth of experience in coding and reimbursement.  She is the former Director of Reimbursement for a large orthopedic group and consultant for a large Midwestern consulting/CPA firm.  She specializes in auditing, coding, and reimbursement for many specialty groups including Orthopedics, ASCs, Spine, Plastic/Reconstructive, Hand, and Family Practice.  She is a well known and respected author and speaker.
Andre McDaniel, CPC, CPC-I, MCS-P, PCS
Andre brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as instructor for Contexo Media.  He is a principal of ProMed Coding Education and Consulting a healthcare coding and education company located in St. Louis Missouri.  Andre has many years of experience within the medical coding industry and a particular expertise in the areas of cardiology, general orthopaedics, spinal, radiological, and surgical pathology coding.  He is the immediate past president of the St. Louis local chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders as well as a member in good standing of the St. Louis MGMA.
Dr. Ty Treutelaar, DC
As a physician, Dr. Treutelaar brings a unique perspective to our presentation on evaluation and management coding.  Dr. Treutlaar is also an active healthcare consultant with ProMed Coding Education and Consulting.  Dr. Treutlaar has many years of experience within the healthcare industry and has developed and instituted programs to assist multi-site and multi-disciplinary practices with enhancing their operations. Dr. Treutelaar is a past advisory board member of Amoco Oil Company and BP of North America. In that capacity Dr. Treutelaar served as the Amoco Board Facilitator, Chairman of the Economics Committee, and numerous other ad hoc committees including oversight of the BP/Amoco merger and operational response to Hurricane Katrina.
Dean Bradden Blair
Dean Blair oversees all online products and services for Contexo University. Dean Blair has directed every aspect of Contexo University’s eLearning program including management, technology development and automation, and execution. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with a dual major in Psychology and Liberal Arts and Sciences from Utah State University as well as a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Utah.
